Justin and Krista Ochocki of Broomfield, Colorado developed a heart for international missions and have pursued that passion over the last several years with EPI. In October of 2009, they left their jobs for a year to travel overseas and work with EPI’s partners in Kenya, and Nepal. After that trip they wanted to be more involved with the ministry. They accepted a position with EPI in Special Project Development where they are in charge of raising money and awareness for EPI's various endeavors around the world. They also lead project teams to these fields.
When not working for EPI, Justin is a facilities engineer for EnCana Natural Gas in Denver, CO. He obtained his B.S. degree in chemical engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2001. Justin's gifts in engineering are well suited for detailed organizational work in missions.
Krista is a counselor and was working in a high school in the Denver area before their travels. She received her Masters in Counseling from Denver Seminary in 2008 and her undergraduate B.S. degree in Behavioral Neuroscience from Furman University in 2003. Krista's heart for people is a tremendous asset on the field. She uses her counseling training assisting hurting people around the world. When she is not working for EPI she has a counseling practice in Denver.
Justin and Krista have been married since 2007. They met at Flatirons Community Church in Lafayette, Colorado, where they have been involved in the high school and singles ministry. When they are not traveling the world, Justin and Krista enjoy spending time with friends and family, camping, skiing, biking, running, and reading. Since their first trip with EPI in 2008 they have been hooked on missions.
