Balesa / Dukana, Northern Kenya
June 20 - July 5, 2024

In June of 2024, EPI will take a team to Balesa and Dukana, Kenya. We will partner with Lifeway Mission International conducting a 5-day medical camp among the Gabbra people. The trip to Balesa and Dukana will require 2 days of travel from Nairobi. We need medical personnel, people to help with sorting and packing meds, and people to help distribute reading glasses.

Cost: $3,800 USD

Price includes airfare from Boston, food, lodging, in-country transportation, field prep and follow-up, and all necessary visas (price may vary depending on point of departure and cost of airfare).

Complete the Missions Application and submit it to us along with your non-refundable $150 deposit. Please do not forget your photo.
Apply for or renew your passport if needed. Your passport must not expire within 6 months of the project. Make sure to sign your passport.
Keep in touch with us as you move closer to the project. Read any communication from our office carefully and respond quickly.
In addition to the published project cost, you will be responsible for any necessary immunizations and medications that your doctor or clinic might recommend. Consult mdtravelhealth.com for info regarding recommended vaccinations.
You will also be required to have Emergency Medical Evacuation and Repatriation Insurance (not included in the project cost). The EPI Board has chosen Emergency Assistance Plus, which is a comprehensive service that arranges travel and doctors in an emergency. They do things that other international medical insurance outfits are unable to provide. For liability reasons our board has chosen this organization, which gives the highest level of service should the need arise. Once your application is received and you are confirmed for the project, you will need to sign up for the service. EA+ offers several membership discounts. You can contact them here.
If you are sending your passport to us for a visa, please use Fedex or UPS and not the US Postal service.

Moyale, Northern Kenya
September 12 - 27, 2024

In September of 2024, EPI will again be returning to Northern Kenya for a 5-day medical camp in Moyale. Expect 2 days of travel from Nairobi to reach the medical camp location. Both medical and non-medical personnel are needed.
