Northern Kenya
January 8th – January 22nd, 2020

In January of 2020, EPI will take a team to Kenya for a ministry trip of approximately two weeks. The primary work on this trip will be medical clinics and theological training for pastors.

Where: Kenya

When: January 8 – January 22, 2020

What: We will be working with our partner in Kenya, Aila Tasse, as we proclaim the love of Christ through medical and eye-glass clinics. We will also be teaching Frontline Theology with a group of pastors affiliated with Lifeway Mission. Our need for this project is for medical personnel – especially doctors and nurses, people to work in the eye glass clinic, and folks to assist packing meds in the pharmacy.

This will be a very demanding, but rewarding, project, so please contact us if you have an interest in joining us in Northern Kenya, and we will share the details of the trip with you.

Who: College age and older

Cost: $3600 USD

Price includes airfare from Boston, food, lodging, in-country transportation, field prep and follow-up, and all necessary visas. (Price may vary depending on point of departure and cost of airfare)

What to do next:

• If you have any interest at all, please contact us immediately. Contacting us does not commit you to anything, but it gives us an idea of how many people are interested and how many airline seats we might need. We can always remove space, but we cannot always add space.
• Download the Missions Application.
• Complete the Missions Application and submit it to us along with your non-refundable $150 deposit. Please do not forget your photo.
• Apply for or renew your passport if needed. Your passport must not expire within 6 months of the project. Make sure to sign your passport.
• Keep in touch with us as you move closer to the project. Read any communication from our office carefully and respond quickly.
• In addition to the published project cost, you will be responsible for any necessary immunizations and medications that your doctor or clinic might recommend. Consult mdtravelhealth.com for info regarding recommended vaccinations.
• You will also be required to have Medical Emergency Evacuation and Repatriation Insurance. The EPI Board has chosen Emergency Reparation Insurance. Emergency Assistance Plus is a comprehensive service that arranges travel and doctors in an emergency. They do things that other international medical insurance outfits are unable to provide. For liability reasons our board has chosen this organization, which gives the highest level of service should the need arise. Once your application is received and you are confirmed for the project, we will provide the details for signing up for Emergency Assistance Plus.
